A wide range of quality books, for churches and organisations, individually styled and crafted to perfection. F.G.Marshall’s Books of Remembrance for Churches contain leaves of archival quality paper and are bound with goatskin leather in a range of colours richly tooled with gold leaf. The book is protected by silk head and tail bands in colours to complement the binding. The page edges are gilded to enhance the closed book. Another option is a Pillar Bound Volume which is loose leaves set on metal pillars. The closed dimensions are approximately A3 size, portrait or landscape. This format Book contains 100 leaves and is supplied with a book-lay covered in felt to complement the colour of the volume. Cost of Book £245. A cover design in 24 carat gold tooling of a simple cross design, and the name of your church or organisation, is included in the price of the volume. However, any motif or artwork of your choice can be incorporated onto the front cover, with hand-painted colour added to gold tooling. We can design to any specifications - prices on request.

Manuscripts and Scrolls

F.G.Marshall pride themselves on the excellent quality of the specialised artwork they have supplied to Borough Offices, Corporations, Councils, and individuals over the years. We hand-produce illuminated manuscripts using traditional proven materials. The 24 carat gold leaf is richly applied and complemented by exquisite lettering, and artwork painted in vibrant colours. A number of Royal Household commissions have been executed in the form of individual certificates and memorial manuscripts, notably from Her Majesty The Queen, The Princess Royal, and the Dukes of York and Wessex. We have also completed artwork for representatives of the spiritual and temporal worlds, notably an Archbishop of Canterbury and Sir Cliff Richard. To complement the presentation scroll F.G.Marshall can offer either a wooden or leather presentation case. The hand-crafted mahogany casket is lined with moiré silk and finished with polished brass hinges and lock. On the front of the casket an engraved pewter plaque is affixed, thus completing the presentation.

Visual Reference System

An easily-accessible, full colour, comprehensive viewing system for staff and public, permitting immediate access to records. F. G. Marshall Ltd. have developed a unique reference and viewing system which is simple to operate, yet allows information or entries to be viewed in full colour and at approximately full size. The images of each page of the Book are viewable by both staff and public on any office computer, and can be networked throughout an office or building. All imaging is carried out at the Marshall Studios using digital technology and a computer indexing system. The resulting images are transferred via CD ROM and can be loaded onto any PC with a CD drive and running a version of WINDOWS from 95 onwards.
